We are so happy to announce that we are tying the knot next year!
We met in the winter of 2022 through our mutual friend, Karrie. When she spoke about Richard, she said something that meant everything to me: " He is an honorable man." That was exactly what my heart had been hoping for someone genuine, kind, and steady in all ways that matter.
We started talking first through texts, then long phone calls that made the miles and hours feel like nothing. When we finally met in Missoula, Montana, something just felt right. The very first thing I noticed were this gentle, kind blue eyes. Our conversation flowed so effortlessly, and after dinner we walked together along the Clark Fork River. It was a cold February night, but being beside him felt warm, familiar, and full of possibility.
As time went on, we discovered just how deeply our values and dreams aligned. We didn't need to build a brand new life we simply wanted to build a shared one. We explored trails and waterfalls, and traveled from Oregon to Arizona, all the way to the Grand Canyon. And then we took one of the biggest steps of all: we moved to Alaska. It had been a dream for both of us to live where the mountains meet the ocean, where our love for the outdoors could be part of our everyday life. That move wasn't just a change of place it was a promise we made together.
On June 30th, Richard proposed near Lovers Point in Monterey, California. I didn't realize what was happening at first it was just a warm, beautiful summer day the ocean with the man l loved. But when he asked me to marry him, everything felt perfectly clear. It was tender, heartfelt, and exactly right.
Now, we look forward to the rest of our forever walking side by side into every new horizon, with the same steady love, shared wonder, and sense of home we found in each other.
This is our love story!
